About Xanadu1816 the Company
Ever since the Venetian explorer Marco Polo bought back stories of a fantastic Eastern Capital - Xanadu has become synonymous with splendour, luxury and opulence. This reputation was further enhanced by the opening lines of Samuel Coleridge’s famous poem “Kubla Khan:
“In Xanadu did Kubla Khan a stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran Through caverns measureless to man

Taking inspiration from Coleridge’s famous poem, Xanadu1816 was incorporated to deliver a new concept in male grooming, by combining quality traditional barbering services delivered by master barbers with exclusive skin and body treatments normally associated with five star spa resorts, all easily within strategically located centres, ensuring ease of access; whether it’s for a quick 30 minute treatment or a full-day’s stress reliving package.
Our first centre on Thornton Road has been designed from the scratch, with customised fitments throughout, using quality cabinet makers the whole centre has been hand fitted using the finest materials available throughout - from American Black Walnut to Italian Porcelain tiles, from Retro Hand Caste Barbers chairs to individual LCD screens for each hairdressing bay. No expense has been spared and the attention to detail has been obsessive! Xanadu1816 are also the first Men’s Grooming Centre in Bradford to have introduced shiatsu massaging shampoo chair’s and professional quality therapy bed’s specially imported from America. Each therapy bed is designed for maximum client comfort and contains memory foam and is guaranteed to provided standards of comfort beyond those found in most professional spa’s – Don’t’ take our word for it experience it for your selves!
As Bradford’s first Dermalogica approved Male Grooming Centre Xanadu1816 deliver their signature hot towel shaves using straight edge razor’s and the finest skin care products available. All staff are experts within their chosen professions and display the companies ethos of “attention to detail”. Whether you require a quick scissor over comb trim to an exclusive full day grooming package, you will find that the standard of customer care and service is something that the company takes seriously.
The Thornton Road centre also contains a luxuriously appointed waiting room which has a monthly subscription service to GQ, FHM, and Men’s Health magazines usually delivered before they’re available on most newsstands. If readings not your thing then their always the 42” Plasma and our complimentary refreshments service.
All skin and body treatments are carried out in our exclusive and private GRoom™’s, which contain the very latest award winning audio systems, thermostatically controlled comfort heating, and atmospheric lighting. Each GRoom™ also contains Bradford’s only Effegibi designed/Installed HAMAM steam and shower facilities.
At Xanadu1816 you can also have access to a fully qualified Chartered Physiotherapist to advice and treat all types of sports injuries. Xanadu1816 also offer a comprehensive range of men's grooming services to individuals. Staff will always aid clients to ensure that all clients receive individually designed treatment packages to suit their individual needs.
